When my husband and I went on a vacation that took us on a cross country driving trip from the Canadian border to the Mexican border, we made a stop on Missouri to stay overnight and visit my husband’s great-aunt and great uncle. We had an incredible time with them looking at family pictures and reminiscing. Our trip was just before Christmas so we had the privilege of talking about Christmas' past as well.
The hard part of the trip was to realize that Auntie Helen and Uncle Einer have aged farther than I anticipated or imagined. With that said it brings to mind that Auntie Helen is the last of her generation left.
What goes through your mind when you know that the family stories as you know them from first hand experience will end with you? How do you prepare yourself and others that you are the last living leaf of the generational branch? This would be a very hard circumstance to find yourself in.
Do you think about it or do you just let life take its course and not let your thoughts twist and turn in your mind? I don't know what it be like if it was me, and I sure hope it isn't.

Good Bye Pastor Kyle and Anna
The time has come for you to go, God has called you to serve elsewhere in another ministry, and in another town. You and Anna will have new adventures, new friends to make, and new memories to create as you follow God's leading.
You will have the exciting times of the new places to explore, new bonds to make, and the anticitpation that comes from from that "new" feeling for your new ministry. God is birthing a something new in your lives and it is exciting to see how you are allowing Him to lead in your life.
With the best of memories from here, it is hard to say good-bye. Five years of memories, fun times, events, trips, Wednesday nights teens, and pranks it will be hard to think of the next weeks and months without hearing "Hey this is Pastor Kyle calling don't forget...." from the latest phone tree call.
But with you being called to a new ministry, our group is also being called to new things too. Growing pains aren't always easy, but necessay. As we seek God's guidance and leading, we know that He has great and wonderful things in store for us as well.
So, never good-bye, but instead may God bless you and your family as you continue on His path for your lives.

Valentine's Day
Happy Valentine's Day! What a day to rejoice LOVE! Love in all aspects. Love for parents, children, friends, and especially for husbands and wives.
This is a time to celebrate who God gave you as a spouse. To find that joy that maybe has faded, or rekindle what is a smoldering coal. Time to talk, touch and love your spouse and to remind them that they are the special one for you.
Have a great Valentine's Day and take the time to let your spouse know that they are the one that you think about, and that you LOVE deeply. Don't let another day go by without letting them know.
